Facebook responded to Biden’s words about the dead due to social networks

Facebook expressed its disagreement with the statement of US President Joe Biden about the responsibility of social networks for deaths from coronavirus, noting that it is not based on facts.

Earlier, Biden, whose words were quoted by the White House journalism pool, said that social networks, allowing misinformation about the COVID pandemic, are killing people.

“We will not be distracted by accusations that are not supported by facts. There is another fact: more than two billion people have received reliable information about COVID-19 and vaccines on Facebook, which is more than anywhere else on the Internet,” company spokeswoman Dani Lever told ABC News.

She added that more than 3.3 million Americans have used the social network tool to search for information about vaccination and how and where it can be done.

“The facts show that Facebook helps to save lives. Dot,” Lever summed up.
