The workers of an oil refinery in Cheshire County in the north-west of England refuse to accept Russian oil as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine, the British Trade Union Congress (TUC), which unites 65 trade unions, reported.

“The workers of the refinery in Cheshire told the managers that they would not unload Russian oil under any circumstances – regardless of the nationality of the vessel,” TUC wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that traders refuse to buy oil from Russia even in the absence of sanctions affecting the energy sector, since Russian supplies have become unattractive due to the risks of the potential introduction of such measures by the West.
