Forensic experts conducted an autopsy on the body of Haitian President Jovenel Moise who was killed in an attack on his residence last week, according to local newspaper Nouvelliste.
After the forensic procedure, photographs and X-rays of the body were distributed. “This (autopsy) is completed. The body was transported to a special center for scanning. Pictures were taken there,” Matthias Pierre, Minister for Voting and Inter-Party Relations of Haiti, told the publication.
Earlier it was reported that the president received 12 gunshot wounds. One of the X-rays shows that several bullets were stuck in his chest. The X-ray of the skull shows a fracture between the frontal and parietal bones – it looks like a control shot that was made when the president was already lying on his back.
The newspaper also reports that Acting Prime Minister Claude Joseph appointed a commission to organize the funeral of Moise, which included, among others, the heads of the Foreign Ministry and the Interior Ministry.
