An earthquake in the US state of Idaho has affected the Yellowstone volcano in Wyoming, the planet news portal reported.

It is noted that experts from Yellowstone national Park said that there is no connection between the earthquake and the volcano. At the same time, other scientists said that a similar influence took place.

The strength of the tremors in this area reached 6.5 points, the portal writes. Scientists also recorded another earthquake with a force of 5.7 points, which occurred in the Magna region because some time ago there was a tectonic expansion. As experts have suggested, these earthquakes will not affect the Yellowstone system in any way.

It is noted that some earthquakes of the last century in this region changed the behavior of geysers. The volcano will now be monitored to see how the earthquake may have affected Yellowstone and whether it is capable of triggering its eruption.
