Retail gasoline prices in the United States reached a historic high on Tuesday, exceeding $ 4.17 per gallon, the American Automobile Association reported.

Its website says that the national average price of regular unleaded gasoline reached $ 4.173 per gallon (3.785 liters), which is the highest value for all time observations.

Gasoline in the United States is getting more expensive amid the conflict in Ukraine and sanctions against Russia. It is expected that the U.S. administration on Tuesday will announce a ban on the import of Russian oil and petroleum products.
