The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff discussed the situation in the country with his Ukrainian counterpart.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. Armed Forces, General Mark Milley, held a telephone conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Pentagon reported.

During the conversation, Milley discussed with his Ukrainian counterpart the support of Ukraine from Washington and its allies, the official representative of the committee, Colonel Dave Butler, said in a statement.

According to the statement, Milley in the conversation “stressed that the United States is united with its allies and partners in readiness to support Ukraine.”
