Germany has increased financial assistance to Ukraine, including through the supply of weapons, said Chancellor Olaf Scholz, speaking at an event of the Social Democratic Party of Germany.

“We have been trying to contribute for a long time, including providing financial assistance for the economic stability of Ukraine, providing humanitarian assistance and development assistance, but now we have strengthened this again with our specific support for Ukraine’s self-defense, as well as with sanctions (against Russia), which we jointly agreed within the framework of the EU, NATO and G7,” Scholz said.
