The American company Google has blocked the download and update of paid applications in the Google Play online store in Russia. This is stated in a message posted on the company’s website.

“In accordance with our work to implement the sanctions, Google Play has been blocking the download and update of paid applications in Russia since May 5,” the report says.

Since March 10, Google has already disabled the ability for users from Russia to make purchases in its online store. Free apps remained available.
