We have already written more than once that Google is preparing for the release of an inexpensive Pixel 5a smartphone. It was assumed that the novelty will receive the SoC Snapdragon 765G, but it seems that this is not the case.

According to the Indian edition of Track, the device will be equipped with a simpler Snapdragon 750G chip, which, by the way, is installed in the recently released budget smartphone OnePlus Nord CE. The main difference between the Snapdragon 750G and the Snapdragon 765G is the 8nm process technology (versus 7nm). Also SoC Snapdragon 750G has two Cortex-A77 cores at a frequency of 2.2 GHz. The Snapdragon 765G has one Cortex-A76 core at 2.4 GHz and a second Cortex-A76 at 2.2 GHz.

As for the other specs of the Pixel 5a, they’ll be the same as last year’s Pixel 4a 5G smartphone. The smartphone will receive a 6.2-inch OLED display with a hole for the front camera in the left corner, a classic fingerprint scanner on the back, a dual main camera, stereo speakers and a headphone jack.

According to the latest information, the Pixel 5a will hit the market in August for around $400.
