VENEZUELA – Venezuelan authorities have evidence of plans of opposition leader Juan Guaido to steal public funds for the order of assassins. This statement was made by the Minister of communications and information of Venezuela Jorge Rodriguez on the TV channel Venezolana de Television.
According to the Minister, “the opposition wanted to destabilize the situation in the country with the help of assassins from Colombia and Central America.” Rodriguez noted that such data was included in the mobile phone of the detained Secretary of Guido Roberto Marrero. The Foreign Minister also noted that Marrero was allegedly responsible for these “terrorist plans.”
Source of funds for carrying out such operations Rodriguez called the kidnapping “of funds that belonged to the Venezuelan companies abroad” with the help of friendly to Guaido countries. In addition, the funds that the opposition allegedly received as humanitarian aid were to be used.
