Hockey player from the USA: millions of Americans drink water from lead pipes

From six to ten million Americans drink water from lead pipes, said hockey player Patrice Bergeron.

He made this statement during a discussion of the relationship between hockey and the environment at a round table organized by the White House and the Environmental Protection Agency.

“Now, from six to ten million people drink water from lead pipes. This is monstrous,” Bergeron said.

The World Health Organization (WHO) names the ten most dangerous chemical pollutants for human health: asbestos, benzene, dioxins, air pollution, cadmium, arsenic, lack or excess of fluoride, dangerous pesticides, mercury, and lead.
