American actor and producer John Cusack harshly criticized U.S. domestic policy on his Twitter account and mentioned Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

“After all, Putin was right. American democracy is weak now, and everything has fallen into disrepair,” he wrote.

The artist did not specify what words the president had in mind. However, Russia has repeatedly noted that they do not consider the United States an enemy, and Moscow and Washington have mutually beneficial points of contact on which regular work should be carried out.

The current head of the White House openly called Putin a worthy rival. Still, the Russian leader himself noted that the harsh rhetoric of Americans against the Russian authorities is often due to masculinity, which is characteristic of Western culture.
