Chinese telecommunication company Huawei filed a lawsuit against the US government with a demand to recognize the decision of the authorities of the country to make it to the blacklist contrary to the US Constitution. This is stated in the company’s report published on Wednesday.
“Huawei filed a lawsuit on Tuesday and will request to consider the case in a summary procedure, requiring the court to recognize this legislation unconstitutional,” – stated in the document.
According to the company, this bill directly accuses Huawei and also sets a number of restrictions for it. According to the report, the purpose of such actions was to deprive the company of its public rights, including the right to a trial, which is directly contrary to the US Constitution.
On May 15, Trump signed a decree introducing a state of emergency to protect the US information and communication infrastructure from foreign threats. In this regard, the U.S. Department of Commerce from May 17, has made Huawei the blacklist because of threats to national security. In August last year, Trump signed a decree that banned us government agencies from using equipment produced by Huawei and another Chinese company – ZTE.
Huawei called the decision of the US authorities an infringement of its legal rights. As stated in the company’s statement, because of this decision, the US “will lag behind in the deployment of the 5G network.”
