British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian virologist Birger Sorensen said they have “evidence” of the artificial origin of the coronavirus. This is reported by the Daily Mail.
According to experts, Chinese scientists have developed SARS-Cov-2 in the Wuhan laboratory. Then they tried to “cover their tracks” in such a way that all the evidence would indicate the natural origin of the virus, the study says.
Dalgleish and Sorensen analyzed experiments conducted by scientists in Wuhan between 2002 and 2019. They concluded that Chinese scientists, including in collaboration with American universities, allegedly developed tools to create SARS-Cov-2.
According to Dalgleish and Sorensen, the Wuhan specialists were trying to make the naturally occurring virus more contagious, so that it could multiply quickly in human cells. This was necessary to better study the potential impact of the coronavirus on humans. They believe that scientists from China took the “basis” of the coronavirus from cave bats, and then “attached” a new “spike” to it, turning it into the contagious and deadly SARS-Cov-2. One of the hallmarks of this manipulation of the virus is a series of four amino acids that Dalgleish and Sorensen found in the “spike” of the coronavirus.
The Norwegian virologist clarified that all amino acids have a positive charge. This allows the virus to cling tightly to the negatively charged parts of human cells, like a magnet.
“But, like magnets, positively charged amino acids repel each other, so in viruses of natural origin, even chains of three are rarely found. And four amino acids in a row is an extremely unlikely phenomenon, ” concluded Birger Sorensen.
Earlier, WHO published the full version of the report of an international group of experts on a visit to the city of Wuhan to identify the origin of the coronavirus. Experts called the SARS-Cov-2 leak from the laboratory “extremely unlikely.” They suggested that the virus was transmitted to humans from bats through another animal. At the same time, the United States and 13 other countries expressed “concern about the findings of the World Health Organization” and stated the need to conduct an “independent investigation” about the origin of the virus. Beijing has repeatedly stated that it takes an open and responsible position regarding publications related to the COVID-19 epidemic. The Chinese Foreign Ministry also stressed that as soon as the epidemic began; the authorities of the country began an investigation, identified the pathogen, and published all the key data. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian, commenting on the United States ‘ intention to investigate the origin of SARS-Cov-2, called it a political game and an attempt to blame others.
