The explosion occurred at the Konoko gas processing plant east of Deir Ez-Zor, where the US military base is located, the Syrian news agency Sana reports, citing sources.

An unnamed official of the Ministry of Defense, referred to by the agency, said that the attack occurred in the Syrian Konoko.
