Envision has adapted Google Glasses for the blind and visually impaired. This was said in a statement.
Modified by the Dutch company, Google Glasses are equipped with a computer-vision camera, as well as a voice assistant. With their help, users can not only navigate in space, but also read the text and recognize people around them – so far only those whose photos are in the device’s database.
The main focus of Google Glass is on text recognition – a computer assistant can play aloud even handwritten text in 60 languages.
Points are now available for pre-order, and the main deliveries will begin in August 2020. At the pre-sale, the cost of the device will be $1,699, and after the official launch – $2,099.
