For more people were injured.

At least six people were killed and four others were injured as a result of a tornado that struck the state of Iowa. This was reported on Sunday by the Associated Press with reference to the director of the local department of emergency services.

According to him, the tornado formed southwest of the capital of Iowa, Des Moines, and moved through the central part of the state, damaging buildings and breaking trees in its path. From 25 to 30 houses were seriously damaged.

“This [tornado] is the worst that anyone has seen in a very long time,” the agency quoted the director as saying.
