The Food and Drug Administration under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on November 19 plans to allow booster vaccinations with the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to the entire adult population of the country. This is reported by Politico, citing sources.

It is noted that this decision will make revaccination available to millions of Americans, which is especially important on the eve of the winter holidays. A drug from Pfizer and BioNTech, as well as Moderna, will be used.

The U.S. administration expressed concern about the increase in the number of infections in the country. Prior to this decision, booster vaccination was intended only for vulnerable groups of the population.
