IPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max unveiled

“The most advanced Pro of them all,” – this is how the new line was presented by the head of Apple Tim Cook in a new stunning blue color.

The frame made of medical-grade stainless steel is even better protected from scratches.

“Monobrow” has become 20% smaller. The display is protected by Ceramic Shield and the smartphone is IP68 certified.

The camera block has become much larger.

Super Retina XDR peaks at up to 1000 nits. There was also a ProMotion function, which changes the screen refresh rate from 10 to 120 Hz. The smart system detects finger movements and adjusts the frame rate.

The iPhone 13 line, including the Pro models, received the Apple A15 Bionic system on-chip. It has 15 billion transistors. The system-on-a-chip received a six-core central processing unit with two efficient and four energy-efficient cores. A five-core GPU is responsible for graphics (one more core than the base iPhone 13), and a 16-core Neural Engine is responsible for neurocomputing. All this is capable of performing 15.8 trillion operations per second!

The new wide-angle camera received a much larger sensor and matrix stub, which was in the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The lens aperture is F/1.5.

The ultra-wide-angle camera has also been improved. She shoots at night with less noise. Apparently, rumors about better lens quality are still true, but the aperture ratio remains the same: F/1.8.

The telephoto camera has also changed. She received an equivalent focal length of 77 mm, which in common language is translated as “three times optical zoom.” And it will get its own night mode: the camera will no longer switch to the wide-angle camera!

There was also a macro camera. And it is implemented in an ultra wide-angle camera. The smartphone will be able to focus on an object from a distance of 2 cm!

The video now has a movie mode. Apparently, Apple calls it portrait mode, but for video. And later this year, the new iPhone 13 Pro will feature Apple ProRes, a RAW format developed by Apple.

The battery has become larger. Thanks to this and energy efficiency, the new iPhone 13 Pro lasts 1.5 hours longer than the 12 Pro, and the 13 Pro Max – 2.5 hours longer than the 12 Pro Max. It would be better the other way around.

The price in the US has not changed: the iPhone 13 Pro will be asked for $ 999, and for the 13 Pro Max – $1099. Both smartphones will be available in four versions: 128, 256, 512 GB, and 1 TB. Pre-order Friday, September 17th. The first customers will receive the new iPhones as early as next Friday.
