IRAN – President Rouhani said US efforts to isolate Iran have failed.
Iran will not fight with any country, President Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday, a day after the US announced the sending of additional troops to the Middle East.
Fears of confrontation between Iran and the United States intensified after the attacks on two oil tankers at the entrance to the Persian Gulf last Thursday, for which Washington blamed Tehran.
“Iran will not fight with any country, – Rouhani said in a speech that was broadcast live on state television. – We are confronted by a group of politicians with little experience.”
“Despite all the efforts of the Americans in the region and their desire to sever our ties with the world and their desire to keep Iran in isolation, these efforts have not been successful,” he added.
