According to the official representative of the ministry, Saeed Khatibzadeh, “these actions clearly show that the current U.S. administration is using every opportunity to increase pressure on the Iranian people without any reason.”
The adoption of new U.S. sanctions against Iran contradicts the statements of the American side about its intention to return to the implementation of the nuclear deal. This was stated on Thursday by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Saeed Khatibzadeh.
“Despite the fact that the United States declares its readiness to return to full implementation of the nuclear deal, they continue to violate UN Security Council resolution 2231 [in support of the nuclear deal],” the press service of the ministry quotes him.
According to the diplomat, “these actions clearly show that the current administration of the President of the United States, contrary to its statements, uses every opportunity to increase pressure on the Iranian people without any reason.”
On Wednesday, the U.S. Treasury announced the application of sanctions against another individual and four legal entities in Iran. Restrictions were introduced on the basis of American laws on the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
