Is Queen Elizabeth II getting ready to resign?

Foreign writer and royal biographer Matthew Dennison has published a book dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II. In it, the author revealed the most intimate thoughts of the monarch. Some of the facts published by the author made the fans of the royal couple seriously flinch.

So, it turned out that more than once Elizabeth had raised the issue of resignation with her family. In April, the grandmother of Princes Harry and William celebrated her 95th birthday: recently, it has become increasingly difficult for Elizabeth to fulfill royal duties. Already now, the queen moves quite slowly, and at some events, even during the life of Prince Philip, it was her husband who appeared instead of her.

The question of abdication in a conversation with cousin Margaret Rhodes did arise but was quickly put on the back burner.

“If I don’t get Alzheimer’s or have a stroke, I’m leaving,” Queen Express quotes.

Dennison also confidently stated that he was pleasantly surprised, because despite her considerable age, Elizabeth still feels confident.

“Even in her ninth decade, she continued to adhere to the old principles. Now they have only strengthened,” he drew a line.
