“A Quiet Place Part III”, due in 2023, will be based on an original idea by John Krasinski, who handed the helm to director Jeff Nichols and told what it would be like to give the franchise to someone else.
According to Krasinski, he is actually very happy with this, as he loves the work of Nichols, known for the films Shelter and Mud. He said that Nichols was his first candidate when it came to continuing the story of the Abbott family.
“Indeed, the only person I had in mind when I was asked if I would transfer the franchise was Jeff. I think he is one of the best directors, Mud is one of my favorite films, so real and intimate. These are exactly the colors with which to write “Quiet Place”. He creates very organic characters that you fall in love with. In fact, he is currently in the process of submitting the script, and I really liked that. I can’t wait to see him take this thing off,” Screenrant quotes him.
We add that according to the results of the first two weeks of rental “A Quiet Place Part II” has collected a record amount in the American box office during the pandemic. Emily Blunt and Millisend Simmons will again play in the spin-off, but other details are not yet known.
