Johnny Depp complained about the Hollywood boycott after the actor’s trial with Amber Heard

Johnny Depp told how he is treated in Hollywood after the trial with his ex-wife.

American actor Johnny Depp spoke about the changed attitude towards him from Hollywood producers. He spoke about this in an interview for The Sunday Times.

The artist speculated about the current situation on the example of the film “Minamata” with him in the main role. It is noted that the picture has not yet received an American premiere date. “And why? Is it because Hollywood is boycotting me?” Depp complained, hinting that this is due to accusations of domestic violence that were made against him by his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard. Speaking about the trial with her, the artist stressed that he “needs to move on and shed light on some things.”

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard got married in February 2015, but in 2016 their marriage broke up. Later, Depp filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife and demanded $ 50 million for an article in The Washington Post, where she called herself a victim of domestic violence. The actor noted that her statement is slander. In November 2020, Depp lost a case against the British tabloid The Sun. The artist sued the publication, as it published an article claiming that he beat Heard. The actress herself acted as a witness.
