The traditional Wimbledon tournament is coming to an end. Kate Middleton, 39, and Prince William, 39, attended one of the final games of the competition today. They watched the women’s final match between Australia’s Ashley Barty and Czech Republic’s Karolina Pliskova.
This is Kate’s first exit after she was forced to self-isolate after contact with an infected coronavirus. For a public appearance, she chose an elegant green dress, complementing it with a white bag and white shoes. William was in a blue summer suit and a blue shirt.
Kate Middleton regularly visits Wimbledon as the patron saint of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, which hosts a tennis tournament every year. She has been the patron of the club since 2016.
While Kate was quarantining at home, she did PCR tests several times, the results of which turned out to be negative. As stated in an official statement from Kensington Palace, the Duchess of Cambridge did not experience any symptoms of the disease. Some time ago, the Duchess was vaccinated against coronavirus infection.
On the eve of self-isolation on July 2, Kate attended a Grand Slam match.
Today, Kate’s younger sister Pippa, a passionate tennis fan, also attended the Wimbledon tournament with her husband James Matthews. After a long hiatus, associated first with the coronavirus pandemic, and then with the birth of a daughter, the couple’s first appearance took place.
