Charlotte Hornets point guard Lamelo Ball is likely to skip the rest of the 2020/2021 NBA season, insider Adrian Voinarovski said on his Twitter page.
Ball underwent an MRI scan that revealed a bone fracture in his right wrist. LaMelo wants an independent doctor’s opinion on his diagnosis, but the rookie is expected to skip the rest of the season anyway.
Ball fell to the floor in the first half of Saturday’s NBA regular season match against the Los Angeles Clippers and spent most of the rest of the game with a bandage on his wrist. Balll was selected third in the 2020 NBA Draft. In the current season, he is gaining an average of 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists. LaMelo is considered the top favourite for the NBA Rookie of the Season.
