Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has signed a partnership agreement with Pepsi, The Insider reports.
Notably, the NBA star had partnered with rival brand Coca-Cola for the previous 17 years. The parties’ contract expired in September 2020. After that, the parties did not manage to agree on the extension of the agreement.
LeBron will be promoting the new Mountain Dew beverage line. It will be called MTN DEW RISE. The brand has been one of the main sponsors of the NBA since 2015. James will also be advertising other Pepsi products.
Earlier it became known that James, as part of a group of investors, acquired the Boston Red Sox baseball franchise. Soon the basketball player admitted that his global goal remains the acquisition of the NBA club.
