Britain is working with allies to disconnect Russia from SWIFT, the Foreign Ministry of the United Kingdom said in a statement.

“The UK is working with allies to exclude Russia from the SWIFT financial system,” the report says.

Earlier on Thursday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson did not rule out disconnecting Russia from SWIFT in the future. At the same time, Johnson pointed out that SWIFT is “extremely important.” He recalled that SWIFT’s headquarters is located in Belgium, and pointed out that this topic was raised among NATO members.
