So far, the police can not say whether the find poses a threat.

Officers of the London police Department set up barriers at the residence of the British Prime Minister on Downing Street because of a suspicious object found on the neighboring government street Whitehall.

“This is done for precautionary reasons. We cannot yet say whether this object actually poses a danger,” told in Scotland Yard.

As indicated on the police’s Twitter page, the object was noticed by law enforcement officers on duty at the prime minister’s residence at about 11: 00 local time. Shortly, experts should determine whether it poses a threat.
