Since November 23, a mass vaccination campaign against COVID-19 children from 5 to 11 years old begins in Israel. This was told on the air of the state Israeli radio Kan.
To date, polyclinics and administrations have received 22 thousand applications for the vaccination of children. To date, 440 children have already been vaccinated against coronavirus. The son of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is expected to be vaccinated on Tuesday.
To ensure the necessary vaccination volumes, a large batch of Pfizer’s drug has been delivered to Israel. Earlier it became known that Russia and Israel will begin to cooperate on countering COVID-19. To do this, the countries will create a joint working group, within which the experience of combating the pandemic will be exchanged.
On November 6, Costa Rica became the first country to introduce mandatory vaccination of children against coronavirus. The relevant decision was made by the National Commission on Vaccination and Epidemiology “in accordance with the principle of the best interests of children and adolescents.”
