Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor lost to American Dustin Poirier in the main match of the UFC 264 tournament, which was held in Las Vegas.

At the end of the first round, the Irishman staggered back and, having stumbled, broke his left leg. The former UFC champion in two weight categories could not leave the arena on his own; he was taken away on a special gurney accompanied by doctors.

McGregor had 28 fights during his career and won 22 victories. The former interim champion of the promotion in the lightweight division, Poirier, won 28 victories in 34 fights.
