Irish UFC fighter Corner McGregor is suspended from performing until January 7, 2022 for medical reasons, reports The Irish Sun.

McGregor on Saturday in a fight at the UFC 264 tournament in Las Vegas against American Dustin Poirier at the end of the first round stumbled and broke his left leg. The Irishman was unable to continue the fight and left the arena on a stretcher. On Monday, the athlete announced that he had successfully undergone surgery.

McGregor’s medical suspension may be reduced if he receives an appropriate orthopedic permit. In any case, the Irishman will miss at least six weeks, and he is also prohibited from participating in sparring until the beginning or mid-August.
