MediaTek is a leading name in the mobile industry. The company has a strong position among mid-range and budget smartphones. The new Helio and Dimensity series processors are very popular all over the world. This is the main reason why MediaTek became the largest smartphone processor manufacturer last year.

The company is expected to remain stable in the second half of the year. Competition with Qualcomm in the smartphone market is expected to sharply intensify in the last quarter.

That’s when we’ll see the successor to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and probably the first devices to use this architecture. According to the latest data, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 will use Samsung’s 4nm technology. The company will also increase the maximum operating frequency of cores in the new processor.

Representatives of the Galaxy S22 series will also use the Snapdragon 895, and the series will traditionally premiere in January. MediaTek plans to compete with Qualcomm’s new flagship by introducing a new 4nm processor. This chip will be called Dimensity 2000 and will be the company’s most powerful mobile chip to date.

The official premiere will take place in the fourth quarter, and the exact date of the event will be announced later. The first smartphones with Dimensity 2000 will cost between $ 750 and $ 800. The new processor will be equipped with a state-of-the-art 5G modem and will be essential to the company’s presence.

The technical parameters of the Dimensity 2000 are not yet known, but the 4nm technology guarantees higher speed and lower power consumption.
