Huawei in 2019 launched an alternative to Google services – Huawei Mobile Service (HMS). Now there is information that they will be used not only by Huawei and Honor smartphones.
According to ITHome, Meizu plans to install Huawei services in its smartphones for the Chinese market. According to the source, the move to HMS does not mean that Meizu will also swap Android for HarmonyOS. So far, the company plans to continue using Google’s operating system.
By the way, Huawei’s services now have 500 million monthly active users. They are used in more than 170 countries around the world. The HMS package includes Huawei ID, AppGallery, Huawei Search and many other proprietary apps.
