The operating director of the American Meta Corporation (recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation), Sheryl Sandberg, is leaving her post. This was announced on Wednesday on Facebook by the founder and head of the company Mark Zuckerberg.
According to the media, Sandberg has been working with Zuckerberg since 2008 and is actually his right hand. “The end of an era. After 14 years, my good friend and partner Sheryl Sandberg is stepping down as Meta’s chief operating officer,” he wrote.
Sandberg, according to her Facebook post, wants to devote more time to her family and charity work, and in the fall she will transfer her powers to Javier Olivan, who now holds the post of director of growth. Despite his departure, Sandberg will remain on the company’s board of directors.
