A huge meteorite exploded in the sky over Norway. According to Live Science, it could take 10 years to find its fragments.

On the night of Sunday, July 25, a large meteorite fell in southern Norway. Due to the flash from its combustion, the surroundings were brightly lit for several seconds. According to Euronews, the speed of its fall reached 20 km / s. Residents noticed its fall at about 1:00 local time. Eyewitnesses published footage with a flash as the meteorite passed through the atmosphere.

It is reported that the crash of the meteor frightened the inhabitants of Norway, many turned to emergency services. At the same time, the police say that there are no reports of injuries or injuries yet.

The Norwegian Meteor Network (NMN), a group that monitors meteor activity in the country, analyzed footage of the extraterrestrial visitor’s trajectory to determine where it landed. According to experts, it is located somewhere in the forests of the Finnemark region, located 60 km from Oslo.

NMN has already started searching for meteor fragments. Experts say that, given the hard-to-reach location somewhere in the middle of the forest, it could take up to 10 years to find any meteorite fragments.
