Popular actor Mike Mitchell has been battling heart attacks for over 15 years.

It became known that the star of the films “Gladiator” with Russell Crowe and “Braveheart” with Mel Gibson 65-year-old actor Mike Mitchell died while on vacation in Turkey.

According to the Daily Star, his death occurred on the yacht due to heart problems. Since 2006, the artist has suffered from periodic heart attacks.

“It was hard to believe in it. We have lost a wonderful actor, an honest person and a true friend. We express our condolences to his wife and family”, – said close friends of Michael in an interview with the publication.

Note that before his acting career, Mitchell was engaged in wrestling. In 1994, he was named the strongest man in the UK. In 2010 he received the Living Legend Award for his achievements in this sport.
