The world is increasingly talking about Huawei’s autonomous operating system for mobile gadgets – HarmonyOS 2.
Free News editors remind that this is the second generation of HarmonyOS, which the Chinese tech giant introduced about 2 months ago. By the way, nobody saw the first generation.
During this time, HarmonyOS 2 has gained immense popularity, and in the last month alone, the number of users with devices with this operating system has doubled. There are over 50 million HarmonyOS 2 devices in the world today.
According to data released by the Chinese news channel CCTV News, there were about 40 million active devices with the new operating system at the end of July. That is, during the week there was an increase of 10 million active users.
Given Huawei’s sound strategy to attract developers to its ecosystem, these numbers are not surprising. But they are still surprising.
At the moment, HarmonyOS 2 can be used by all owners of the following Huawei smartphones and smartphones of the spun-off company Honor:
- Huawei P20
- Huawei P20 Pro
- Huawei Mate 10
- Huawei Mate 10 Pro
- Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design
- Huawei Nova 5i
- Huawei Nova 4
- Huawei Nova 4e
- Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design
- Huawei Mate 9 (скоро)
- Huawei P10 (скоро)
- Honor X10
- Honor 30S
- Honor X10 Max
- Honor 30 Youth Edition
- Honor Play4
The 50 million HarmonyOS 2 users are definitely not Huawei’s ultimate goal. Analysts note that by the end of 2021, the number of active users of the operating system should exceed 300 million.
