Mothercare, a company specializing in the production of goods for children, is suspending work in Russia, the company said.

“Mothercare informs that all activities in Russia, including the shipment of all products, have been suspended. Our local partner has confirmed that it will immediately suspend operations in approximately 120 stores and online,” the message reads.

It is specified that the Russian Federation accounts for 20-25% of global retail sales. Previously, it was expected that the profit from the Russian market would bring about 0.5 million pounds per month.

Mothercare is a British company specializing in products for parents and young children. The company has more than 800 stores in more than 40 countries.
