The special Prosecutor agreed to address two committees of the House of Representatives.

Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, who in April published a report on Russian interference in the US presidential election in 2016, will testify at the public hearings of the Intelligence Committee and the Legal Committee of the House of Representatives on July 17.

The heads of committees – legislators from the Democratic Party reported.

The Chairman of the Legal Committee, Jerrold Nadler, and his colleague from the Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, issued a joint statement saying that Mueller agreed to testify after both committees sent him subpoenas on Tuesday.

The representative of Mueller did not respond to the request for comment.
