The NHL’s Department of Player Safety has suspended Vegas Golden Knights forward Ryan Reaves for two games, according to the league’s website.
The sanctions against the 34-year-old player followed rudeness and unsportsmanlike behavior in the first game of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs against Colorado (7:1 in favor of the Avalanche). In the third period, Reaves first hit Avalanche goalie Philipp Grubauer in the head, then struck Colorado defenseman Ryan Graves, knocked the opponent to the ice, and knelt on his head.
The second game of the series between Colorado and Vegas will be held on June 2 in Denver.
