Motorola, after several months of rumors and leaks, announced the launch date for the Motorola Edge 20 line of smartphones.

The manufacturer published a poster on the social network Weibo, according to which the devices will debut in China on August 5. The event will take place at 19:30 local time.

According to the leaks, the new line of smartphones will have at least three handsets: Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge 20 Pro and Motorola Edge 20 Lite. The first two new items come with model numbers XT2143-1 and XT2153-1. They should be equipped with “leaky” OLED displays, 6/8/12 GB of RAM, 128/256/512 GB drives, as well as triple cameras with 108 MP main sensors. The Edge 20 Pro model will boast a periscope camera sensor, as well as the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip. The regular version, in turn, will receive a simpler SoC – Snapdragon 778G. The devices are also credited with 4230 mAh batteries with 33 W fast charging, NFC modules and separate buttons for launching the Google voice assistant.

As for the Motorola Edge 20 Lite, the smartphone will be the most affordable device in the lineup. He is credited with the MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor, as well as a 32 MP front camera and a triple main camera with 108 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP sensors.
