OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro receive OxygenOS 11 Beta 2 with Canvas for Always-On Display

OnePlus developers have released the second Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 test firmware for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.

Basically, the system has worked on the errors of the previous software version. For example, OnePlus has fixed the screen flickering issue for some users, as well as the issue with opening widgets on the desktop, and more.

From the innovations, the Canvas function was added to the update. It displays the outlines of portrait photos on the desktop in Always-On Display. You can activate the function by going to Settings> Customization> Wallpaper> Canvas> Choose photo preview.

The firmware has already begun to be distributed over the air to users who participate in the OxygenOS beta testing program. If you don’t have the update yet, you can download it from the link and install it manually.
