In early August, a resident of India reported the explosion of the OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone. A week later, it was reported that another model ended its journey in the same way. But this time, the company said the story was fabricated.
In its official announcement, OnePlus once again reminded of its serious attitude to quality control in accordance with leading industry standards. The manufacturer respects internal processors both to protect its own reputation and to ensure the safety of end-users.
OnePlus confirmed that the first Nord 2 smartphone exploded, but blamed it on “outside forces.” But the company calls the second incident fabricated. The statement states that OnePlus representatives contacted the injured civil servant, in whose hands another OnePlus Nord 2 allegedly exploded. During the conversation, it was possible to confirm that the story of the explosion was fictitious and in no way related to any of the OnePlus products.
