He also called for decent treatment of prisoners of war.

Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, who chairs the OSCE, announced the republic’s plans to create a center for documenting war crimes in Ukraine. He said this on Saturday at briefing following talks with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

As Rau said, Poland is creating a “center for documenting war crimes in Ukraine.” According to him, he counts on cooperation with the United States in this work.

“The punishment of war criminals should be taken into account during future peace negotiations,” the minister said. “Poland will consistently pursue the prosecution of war criminals. This is our historical duty,” he added.
