A malfunction in the engine of a passenger Boeing 777 led to the fact that the wreckage of the skin fell in a residential area outside of Denver in the US state of Colorado, reports the Fox News channel.

According to the TV channel, the United Airlines flight, on route from Denver to Honolulu, returned safely to Denver shortly after departure. There is no information about injuries onboard or as a result of falling debris.

Police in Broomfield, where parts of the cladding fell, are asking residents not to touch the debris in the yard and immediately report it to the authorities.
