The American leader warned that shortly, the United States will face a large number of victims due to the coronavirus.

Speaking at White House briefing on the coronavirus, President Trump said that the number of victims from CAVID-19 will increase this week.

“This will probably be the most difficult week. Unfortunately, there will be a lot of deaths, but less if we did nothing. We are getting to the point where these are bad numbers. We want these numbers to be much lower than they will be. And we will do it. I believe we have probably never seen anything like it, perhaps only during the war.”

According to him, regions of the country that do not see the spread of coronavirus, request medical equipment “beyond what the current circumstances require.”

“It is quite clear that local authorities will strive to get the most for their communities. But fear of shortage has led to inflated requests. We have States and districts that require much more. We have one state that has requested 40,000 CPR units. Just think about it: 40,000. It’s impossible. They don’t need that much, and now they admit it. We’ll give them as much as we can. Again, no one has ever seen anything like this in terms of ventilators, in terms of protective equipment, as well as clothing,” the American leader said.

The US President also assured that he will use all available means to protect Americans from the coronavirus.

“We want to end this war. We have to get back to work. We must reopen our country. We don’t want to do this month after month [extending state government orders to stay at home]. We are going to reopen our country,” said Donald Trump.

President Trump noted that the United States has 29 million doses of hydroxychloroquine (an antimalarial drug), which will be used to treat COVID-19.

“As you know, last Saturday, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an emergency permit for the use of hydroxychloroquine. I hope it will be an important answer. Very good things are happening with it, and we will distribute it through the national strategic stockpile to treat certain patients, and we have 29 million doses. “We also get it from different countries. I called the Prime Minister of India, the Fashion of this morning. They produce large amounts of hydroxychloroquine. I said I would appreciate it if they sold the quantity we requested and they are seriously considering our offer.”
