According to the press secretary of the White House, the test of the American leader showed a negative result.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has contracted coronavirus and will go into quarantine. This is stated in her statement published on Tuesday.

“This morning, preparing for a trip to Europe, I passed a PCR test. He showed a positive result, which means that I will follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and will not go with President [Joe Biden] to Europe,” Psaki said.

She clarified that the test of the American leader showed a negative result. Psaki noted that she has no pronounced symptoms of the disease. She intends to spend at least a few days in quarantine.

As the White House informed earlier, Biden will visit Brussels on March 24, where he will take part in the extraordinary NATO summit and the Group of Seven meeting, as well as join the planned EU summit. On March 25, the American president will travel to Warsaw, where he will hold talks with Polish President Andrzej Duda on March 26.

Biden was revaccinated from the coronavirus at the end of September. He received the third dose of the vaccine produced by the American company Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech.
