Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the Kremlin’s press service reported.
“Special attention is paid to the humanitarian aspects of the situation in Ukraine and in the republics of Donbas,” they said.
They also discussed options for political and diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving it, including the results of the third round of negotiations with Kyiv.
It is added that the Russian president informed Scholz about measures to organize humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians from areas of clashes and attempts by militants to prevent the safe evacuation of people.
“It was agreed to continue contacts at various levels,” the message says.
