Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, the Kremlin’s press service reports.

“At the initiative of the Israeli side, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett,” the statement said.

“The exchange of views on the situation around the special operation to protect the republics of Donbass continued,” the press service reported.

The Kremlin noted that Putin drew Bennett’s attention to a missile strike on the center of Donetsk using cluster munitions, which led to civilian casualties.

In turn, the Israeli Prime Minister informed the Russian president about recent contacts on the situation in Ukraine with the leaders of a number of countries. In response, Putin shared his assessments of the negotiations between representatives of Moscow and Kyiv, which took place these days in the format of a video link.
